Welcome to Port City Plates! It's our pleasure to be able to serve

you authentic Rochester, NY “Trash Plates”, a hunger-satisfying plate featuring two cheeseburgers or hot dogs, house-made macaroni salad, crispy home fries, and the best house-made trash plate sauce!

We grew up in Western New York and always dreamed of living down south. After 30+ years in corporate and non-profit roles and two grown children, we finally made the move to Leland, N.C.

Rob is the cook in the family and had dreamed of running a food truck. We both have previous experience in food service and concessions in our earlier days and have brought with us our love for "Trash Plates!"

As we make our way around town meeting so many people, they have been telling us they are craving a "Plate"! You will crave a "Trash Plate" too after a night out at one of the area's outstanding breweries or distilleries. You will start thinking about one for lunch! On a busy night, you will look to our social media to find out where we are for a quick take-out dinner!

The plate features a serious amount of food. Order it the original way with 2 burgers or hot dogs, crispy house-made home fries and macaroni salad, or get creative and have our delicious baked beans or tater tots instead! We top it off with mustard, onion, and pile on the tasty house-made trash plate sauce which ties it all together.

As a result, Port City Plates was born, honoring both our new and old “homes”. This is truly a labor of love. What better way to still have a little of what reminds us of home and also be able to share it with you. We know you’ll love it, and we can’t wait to serve you!
